Dennis’ Horseradish receives Feast On certification for its commitment to sourcing and celebrating locally-grown food

Norfolk County, Ont., May 26, 2021 – Dennis’ Horseradish, the premium, small-batch horseradish business recognizable by its upside-down jars, coarse grind and assortment of all-natural, hot horseradish, has received a Feast On® certification from the Culinary Tourism Alliance. The certification program recognizes independent and craft businesses that have committed to sourcing Ontario grown and made food and drink.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our roots,” says Mark Healy, CEO and co-owner of Dennis’ Horseradish. “Redefining the horseradish market requires deep and solid foundations and we’ve found this here in Norfolk County and our home region.”

Established by the Culinary Tourism Alliance in 2014, Feast On certification is awarded to restaurants, purveyors and partners devoted to celebrating and promoting Ontario grown food and drink. For customers, it authenticates that their purchases are part of a movement to encourage local food industries and communities.

“Supporting local agriculture and the peoples who bring it to life is more important than ever,” says Valerie Keast, Feast On Program Manager. “We’re thrilled to see mindful, innovative businesses like Dennis’ Horseradish achieve the certification. We look forward to working together on putting more Ontario grown and made horseradish on locals plates in the coming year.”

As a Feast On Purveyor, Dennis’ Horseradish has committed to sourcing a minimum of 90 percent of its ingredients and raw materials from regional sources.

“Quality food, produced with great care and concern for stewardship and transparency is a real force for good in our world,” says Healy. “We’re looking for partnerships that reflect that worldview and we’ve certainly found that with the Feast On program and Culinary Tourism Alliance members.”
